Bank of Ireland Carrick-on-Shannon Opening Hours

Now! Wasted 2 hours from a work day today driving to lodge some much needed cheques in Bank of Ireland, Carrick-on-Shannon only to find them closed early again (3pm) due to adverse weather conditions.
I sat in the car for a while in disbelief looking at their front door and hoping it would magically open and while I looked I witnessed a whole handful of people (not at the same time!) try to push their way in and bounce back with confused faces.
I then took a walk up bridge st and didn't witness one other business closed!?
Question is, what makes a bank so special or different that they can decide to close early and mess up my day and finances while other much less required businesses have no issues staying open? At such an important time of the year too.. Is it the same arrogance and greed that has caused other well known large scale issues of late!?
I decided to go back and leave a little message on their closed early sign. Hope they liked it!
Went out to the bank today and spotted a mobile mast being erected in Drumsna, Co. Leitrim no more than 30 feet away from an existing one, same height, same eye sore. The existing one used to power my O2 broadband and phone 3G connection before we moved from Drumsna so I’m guessing this one is for Vodafone, Meteor, etc or maybe part of the 3 broadband rollout.
Seems a bit strange that existing masts can’t be used by multiple carriers the same way Eircom have been forced to share their infrastructure? Would save a bit of money, time and eyesore?
